Have you seen the 16th Avenue Tiled steps in San Francisco? I went there on the July 4th weekend and it was a lot of fun!
Not only will you be able to see the whole San Francisco city, you will be amazed by the beautiful pattern running over the 163 Tiled steps! This neighborhood community project started in 2003 and it was completed two years later in 2005.
Irish ceramicist Aileen Barr and artist Colette Crutcher joined forces and teamed up with almost 300 volunteers to create this masterpiece!
I was 2 years old when I went there for the first time. My dad carried me on his shoulders and climbed the steps. I visited there again last weekend at the age of 8. I climbed all the steps by myself this time! We also took some fantastic pictures with a similar look, but 6 years apart!
Time flies, but some things never change. Visit the Tiled steps & enjoy!
