It has been more than a year since I went to my favorite city, San Francisco. I was missing it a lot! I finally got a chance this weekend to go there with my parents.
We first went to Pier 39 where we took a stroll around the pier. We then had lunch at an Italian restaurant. The food was very tasty! The restaurant had a beautiful view of the entire pier and the Pacific ocean. From the restaurant, I saw some sea lions basking in the sun. I saw a few cruise ships as well.
Then we went to a food stall where they made French crepes. They were pretty tasty! That was my Pier 39 experience in San Francisco.
Next, my parents and I drove to the Dutch Windmill which is in a different part of San Francisco. The Dutch Windmill was built in the 1900’s and was a working windmill for the city of San Francisco for a long time. It is not used any more though.
There were hundreds of pretty and vibrant flowers around the Dutch Windmill. The area was very crowded. You could not tell that there was a pandemic going on, except for the masks worn by some people!
My parents and I took a lot of pictures. You should check them out!
Then, we went to the Murphy Windmill which is close to the Dutch Windmill. Both these windmills are next to the Pacific ocean. The Murphy Windmill did not have flowers around it and there weren’t many people in that area. The windmill was surrounded by thick trees and you couldn’t see it clearly. This windmill is also from the 1900’s. It was also a useful and working windmill back then, but it has fallen into a state of neglect. I did get a few good pictures of it, but I’d rather go to the Dutch Windmill!
That was my San Francisco experience. It was great to be back!
